New 2026 release: a two-wire electromagnetic flowmeter that draws all its power from the 4-20 mA loop, so no mains cable, no local power supply and no separate transmitter cabinet are needed at the metering point.

The LDM7 is the 2026 addition to the NEW-CONSENS electromagnetic family. Instead of running a separate power cable and a signal cable to every metering point, the LDM7 takes its whole supply from the same 4-20 mA loop that already carries the measurement. That single change removes the most expensive part of most water and process metering projects: trenching, conduit and local power distribution in remote or skid-mounted locations.

Why This New Launch Is Worth Switching To

• Single two-wire cable for both power and signal, cutting installation material and labour by roughly half compared with a conventional four-wire magnetic meter.
• Loop powered design works directly with existing PLC, RTU and DCS analogue input cards, so no extra power supply module is required in the cabinet.

Key Design Features

• Low-power coil drive with automatic zero-point correction keeps the reading stable when loop voltage drops on long cable runs.
• Empty pipe detection and reverse flow indication are reported through the analogue signal and pulse output.
• PTFE, PFA, hard rubber and neoprene liners plus 316L, Hastelloy C, titanium and tantalum electrodes cover acids, slurries, potable water and brine.
• Local magnetic key operation for span and zero checking without opening the housing.
