The Fluke 1577 replaces the older Fluke 1507 in the Milano insulation range. Where the legacy meter combined insulation testing with only a basic voltage readout, the 1577 adds a complete True RMS digital multimeter section, so a technician can trend insulation resistance and then verify voltage, current, resistance and continuity without changing instruments.
Accuracy is the core of the change. The 1577 holds 0.09% DC accuracy and a 6000 count display, allowing readings to be compared directly against calibrated loop signals. Test voltages from 50 V to 1000 V and an insulation range to 600 MOhm let teams follow the same test procedure across low voltage control circuits and medium voltage motors, where the older 1507 forced a second instrument and a second record sheet.
