WQA-210D Handheld Optical Dissolved Oxygen Analyzer

The WQA-210D is a handheld optical dissolved oxygen analyzer for field and plant measurements. The previous galvanic design required frequent electrolyte refills, flow during measurement and careful membrane replacement. This upgraded optical model removes all three requirements, while adding better accuracy and a more durable sensor build.

Higher Accuracy Than Previous Generation

• DO accuracy improved from plus or minus 2% of reading to plus or minus 0.1 mg/L or plus or minus 1% of reading, whichever is greater.
• Resolution of 0.01 mg/L allows detection of small changes in aeration basin and fish pond readings.
• Temperature accuracy of plus or minus 0.2 degrees Celsius with automatic salinity and barometric compensation.
• Two-point calibration in water saturated air, with the calibration coefficient stored in the sensor cap for traceability.

Improved Instrument Performance

• Luminescent optical measurement needs no electrolyte, no membrane replacement and no minimum flow velocity, so readings are stable in still water.
• Response below 30 seconds to 90% of final value, cutting waiting time at each sampling point.
• About 200 hours of operation on two AA cells, covering a full week of field rounds.
• 10,000 reading memory with time stamp and Bluetooth 5.0 export to a mobile device.
• Automatic sensor health indication warns when the cap approaches the end of its service life instead of failing during a measurement.

Upgraded Materials and Construction

• PVDF sensor cap with a silicone diffusion layer replaces the earlier polycarbonate cap, giving better chemical resistance and a longer service interval.
• Polycarbonate housing with titanium screws eliminates the corrosion and thread damage common with stainless fasteners in salt water.
• 316L stainless steel sensor guard protects the optical surface from impact and sediment contact.
• IP68 sealing to 30 m allows direct immersion measurement in deep tanks and boreholes without a separate probe cable assembly.

Calibration and Consumables

The sensor cap is user replaceable and is supplied with a calibration chamber. Replacement caps, protective guards and a 5 m extension cable are available as spare parts. The instrument stores the last ten calibration records for QA review.
