NEW-CONSENS Flowmeter Range Expanded With Electromagnetic Vortex Ultrasonic And Thermal Mass Meters

2026-10-28
Latest company news about NEW-CONSENS Flowmeter Range Expanded With Electromagnetic Vortex Ultrasonic And Thermal Mass Meters

Flow measurement buyers now have a broader single-source option. The NEW-CONSENS flowmeter portfolio has been expanded and reorganised into six measuring principles, covering pipeline sizes from DN3 to DN6000 and duties that range from clean plant water to saturated steam, compressed air and high viscosity chemicals.

The expansion responds to a practical shift in procurement: instead of buying one meter type from one supplier and a second type from another, water utilities, HVAC contractors, food plants and chemical processors increasingly ask for a coordinated range with common calibration practice, common documentation and a single commercial contact.

Six Measuring Principles In One Portfolio

The range now groups electromagnetic, vortex, ultrasonic, thermal mass, positive displacement and variable area meters under one product family, so that a project can specify the right principle per line without renegotiating terms for each item.

  • Electromagnetic meters for conductive liquids in water, wastewater and process lines, including wafer, flanged, battery powered and loop powered two-wire versions.
  • Vortex meters for steam, saturated gas and compressed air, with integrated temperature and pressure compensation models for direct mass and energy totalising.
  • Ultrasonic meters for clamp-on retrofit work where the pipe cannot be cut, plus open channel versions for weirs and flumes.
  • Thermal mass and Coriolis meters for compressed air auditing, gas flow and high accuracy mass measurement of viscous or two-phase media.
  • Positive displacement meters for lubricating oils, fuel and dosing lines where mechanical registration is preferred.
  • Variable area meters for low cost visual indication on small utility lines.

Designed Around Retrofit Projects

A large share of enquiries now comes from plants replacing ageing orifice plates and differential pressure transmitters. Removing a DP installation eliminates impulse lines, manifolds and the seasonal zero drift that follows condensate build up, and it usually removes a routine calibration task from the maintenance calendar. Wafer electromagnetic and clamp-on ultrasonic models were therefore dimensioned to fit existing spool pieces, with mating flange standards and insertion lengths stated in the datasheet so that a mechanical fit can be confirmed before the order is placed.

What Buyers Ask For Most

  • Confirmed face to face length and flange drilling before shipment, for drop-in replacement of an existing meter.
  • Calibration certificate traceable to a national standard, with the option of a three point or five point report.
  • IP68 sealing and battery endurance figures for buried or unmanned installations.
  • Outputs that match the existing control system, typically 4-20 mA plus pulse, HART or Modbus RS485.
  • Spare electrodes, gaskets and liners held as service parts for the first maintenance cycle.

Availability And Ordering

Standard sizes are held as assembled stock and can ship within three working days, while lined and high pressure variants are built to order in fifteen to twenty five days. Minimum order quantity is one piece, so a single replacement meter and a project package are handled through the same channel. Each meter ships in a foam lined export carton with the calibration certificate, wiring diagram and flange gasket set.

To specify a meter, send the line medium, normal and maximum flow rate, pipe size and material, pressure and temperature, required output signal and the flange standard. Our engineering team returns a sized selection, datasheet and quotation, and can review an existing installation photo to confirm the retrofit fit.
